About Our Events:
When…approximately monthly, often tied to a Jewish Holiday.
Where…hosted by local members or, for larger events, in a local gathering spot.
Given the large geographic span of our membership, we generally hold events along the Highway 4 corridor (Murphys/Angels Camp/Copperopolis/Bar XX and the Hwy 49/108 corridor in Sonora & Jamestown.
Cost…Most events are free, "Pot-Luck” affairs. There is a fee to attend our catered Passover Seder that helps offset the costs.
Who can attend...Members, their families & friends, Jews who live in the area full or part time or are touring the area as well as anyone else interested in participating in a Jewish gathering. Singles, couples and families are all welcome!
Dress...While we occasionally have a themed event where dressing for the occasion is encouraged, our events are generally “Mountain Casual”.
MOVIE NIGHT

~ THE DEVIL'S ARITHMATIC ~
Due to chancy spring weather,
this will be a ZOOM Gathering!
The story is about an American-born Jewish adolescent who finds Jewish holidays and celebrations boring and is unappreciative of the hardships Jews have faced is mysteriously transported to the past and ends up in a concentration camp.
There will be a discussion following the movie.
