"Tzedakah and acts of kindness are the equivalent of all the mitzvot of the Torah" – Jerusalem Talmud, Pe'ah 1:1.

 

Giving tzedakah (a charitable contribution) is a great way to honor a special occasion or to remember a loved one's Yahrzeit. Mark a special occasion, remember someone dear, acknowledge a B’nai Mitzvah, birthday or anniversary, rejoice in the arrival of a child or mourn the passing of a friend or loved one.

 

The Mother Lode Jewish Community welcomes and deeply appreciates donations of any amount.  

 

A note will be sent to the recipient telling them that a donation was made to the MLJC in their honor on bahalf of the specific occasion by you (or whom you designate)

Please also fill out the email message below and send to us.

The message section needs to include:

1) The name of the honoree(s) (Option/ only if you want a note sent to them) as you want it to appear and either their postal address or email address to whom the note should be sent. If both are provided, the message will be sent via email.  If only a postal address is provided, a hard copy note will be delivered via USPS.

2) The occasion (including the date, if you want it included in the acknowledgement).

3) Donor information (The exact wording you want included on the note).
